The Complete Ubud Travel Guide: Best Places, Day Trips & Tips
Introduction – My Love for Ubud
Ubud has been one of my favorite places in the world for years. It was one of the first trips that truly changed the way I travel. From the moment I arrived, I fell in love with the calm energy, the greenery, the peaceful vibe, and the warm people. Every visit feels like coming home, a chance to recharge, reflect, and reconnect with myself.
Over the years, I’ve returned often, sometimes staying for a month or more, soaking in the serenity, the yoga life, and the beautiful rhythm of Ubud.

Why Ubud is Special
Ubud is not just a town, it’s a lifestyle, known as a hub for self-reflection, healing, and personal growth; it draws travelers seeking calm, inspiration, and energy that rejuvenates the mind and body. Walking through the jungle, rice terraces, and temple paths, you can feel a balance and simplicity that’s hard to find elsewhere. The yoga centers, small cafés, and creative spaces create a unique culture that blends spirituality with everyday life, making Ubud a must-visit for anyone looking to slow down and recharge.

Practical Tips for Visiting Ubud
When to visit: The best months are April–October for dry weather.
Getting around: Renting a scooter is common in Ubud, but it’s not always the safest option, especially if you’re not experienced. I personally recommend hiring a driver for day trips or riding with a local guide on a scooter. It’s much safer, more convenient, and allows you to relax and enjoy the experience.
Stay: Boutique hotels, villas, and guesthouses range from peaceful jungle retreats to central Ubud accommodations.
